👷 What You’ll Be Doing During the Learnership:
As a learner electrician, you’ll be part of a hardworking team and get involved in the real day-to-day tasks of electrical maintenance. Here’s what your duties will include:
- Helping qualified electricians install, maintain, and repair different types of electrical systems inside the company.
- Taking part in both planned and emergency repair jobs at water treatment plants, pump stations, and water reservoirs.
- Assisting with finding and fixing electrical problems. This includes working with equipment like motors, VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), and simple instruments.
- Learning how to read and understand technical electrical drawings and schematics.
- Completing all the learnership assignments, keeping a logbook of your work, and doing all the required assessments.
- Helping out with cleaning water sumps and doing shift standby duties when needed.

📚 What You Need to Apply:
Before applying, make sure you meet the following requirements:
- You must have completed Matric (Grade 12) – subjects like Mathematics and Physical Science are preferred.
- You should have either an N2 or N3 certificate in Electrical Engineering.
- You need some previous exposure to industrial environments – maybe you’ve helped out or worked in a factory or plant before.
- A Code 10 Driver’s License is a must – you’ll need to travel between different work sites.
