Who Can Apply?
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following requirements:
- You should have already completed your Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or you must be in your final year.
- You must be SACE registered (or eligible for registration).
- You need to have strong knowledge of your subject and good skills in teaching and assessing students.
- It’s a bonus if you’ve done online teaching before, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
- You must know how to use a computer well. Tools like Microsoft Office and Google Chrome are important.
- You need to be fluent in both Afrikaans and English, as you’ll be working with learners who speak both languages.

What You’ll Do as an Online Teacher:
As part of the Optimi team, your daily responsibilities will include:
